Do you know how many USB ports on PS5? Generally, there are two USB ports on the front and two USB ports on the back of PS5. In addition, there are an HDMI 2.1 port, Gigabit Ethernet, and power port on the back.

PS5 Front USB Type-C Port
As mentioned, there are two PS5 USB ports forwarding. One is a USB type-C and the other is a USB type-A. The type-C port is a SuperSpeed USB port, which means it is capable of data transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps.
It should be one of the most frequently used PS5 front ports. It can be used to connect an HD Camera, PlayStation Camera, and PS5 extended storage which requires SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps or later. According to Sony, it is recommended to connect PS5 extended storage via the USB type-C port on the front of PS5.
Some USB speciality controllers can also be used with this port.

PS5 Front USB Type-A Port
The type-A port on the front of PS5 is a Hi-Speed USB port. Please note that this port is not compatible with PS5 extended storage or HD Camera. You can use it to connect DualSense/ Dualshock 4 controllers, PlayStation VR, and supported USB speciality controllers.
PS5 Back USB Ports
There are 5 PS5 ports on back. Two of them are USB type-A ports, SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps. They can be used to connect PS5 extended storage, DualSense/Dualshock 4 controllers, HD/PS5 Camera, PlayStation VR, wireless headset adaptor, and supported speciality controllers.
Ethernet Port
The Ethernet port on the back of PS5 is under the two USB ports. It can be used to connect to the internet via a cable, which might help improve the internet speed, especially when you are downloading games or apps. Of course, PS5 supports a Wi-Fi connection as well.
HDMI Port
HDMI is another port on the back of PS5. It is designed with the latest HDMI 2.1 protocol which supports up to 8K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rates and variable refresh rate. With such a port, you can connect your PS5 console to a display such as a TV.
