Where Is the Terraria Save Location?
Terraria is a 2011 action-adventure sandbox game available for Windows & macOS & Linux PCs, iOS & Android phones, and many consoles.
Where is the Terraria save location? Some people may wonder about this question because they want to change Terraria save location or transfer Terraria save files. The Terraria save location is as follows.
- On Windows: %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\Terraria.
- On macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Terraria.
- On Linux: ~/.local/share/Terraria.
If you have enabled Steam Cloud, the Terraria save location should be Steam Library Folder > userdata > SteamID > 105600 > remote.
Under the Terraria or remote folder, you will see two folders: Players and Worlds. The former folder stores all your character files and the latter stores your world files. Your character file should be a .plr file and your world file should be a .wld file.
Besides, if you use tModLoader, a free program that allows playing Terraria with mods, the tModLoader save location should be %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\Terraria\modloader. Then, you can find your Players and World folders there.
